Logan Professor Retires After 40 Year Legacy, Awarded Professor Emeritus

Mike Wittmer, DC (’80) always had two rules as a member of Logan’s faculty. “Rule 1: Help students become a successful DC. A New Chapter Begins: Logan Clinician Ventures to Vietnam to Open Chiropractic Clinic

A dream that was put on hold for five years is now coming to fruition for Jesse Politowski, DC (’13). The Logan clinician is starting a new chapter of his life in Vietnam where he plans to open a chiropractic clinic. “After I graduated from Logan, I worked in Southeast Asia for six years,” he said. “But during a trip back to the U.S., the pandemic hit. Growing up in South Bend, Indiana, Tyler Lymburner initially set his sights on becoming a physical therapist (PT). To reach this goal, he attended and graduated from Trine University in Indiana in 2013 with a degree in Exercise Science. Ferrahs Abdelbaset’s, DC (’08) introduction to chiropractic traces back to the early 2000s after getting the opportunity to shadow a graduate from Logan University’s Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) program. It was during this experience he discovered his passion for whole health care. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Louis University, Dr. Abdelbaset enrolled in Logan’s DC program. “The DC program was great,” Dr. Abdelbaset said. “It was filled with wonderful classmates and a lot of faculty members who were great mentors. Included in those speakers are two sets of family members: father and daughter Terry and Alicia Yochum and sister and brother Mary Unger-Boyd and Joseph Unger.
